A PhD student has been jailed today, Thursday 6 October, for nine years after being found guilty of raping and assaulting a woman in Plymouth.
Following a four-day trial at Plymouth Crown Court, Dayan Garcia, aged 31 and previously from Mariners Court, Plymouth, was jailed for two counts of rape and one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH).
