Local artists given chance to showcase talents

13 local artists are showcasing their artwork in a new exhibition at the Council House in Plymouth.

Inspired by Plymouth based artist Martin Bush, councillors are allowing the Council House to be used to host a programme of exhibitions and talks to support the city’s creative economy.

Assault appeal on 14-year-old girl in Plympton

Police are appealing for witnesses following a reported assault on a 14-year-old girl in Plympton.

The incident took place between 3.15pm and 3.30pm on Friday 19 April 2013, at the junction of Larkham Lane and St Marys Road.

The girl was talking to two friends near to the post box when she was allegedly elbowed in the back by a woman, sustaining reddening and bruising.

Plans unveiled for Route des Princes yacht race

Exciting plans for the major new yacht race, the Route des Princes, have been unveiled at an international press conference in Paris today.

Ten teams have been confirmed for the race which starts in Valencia on 9 June and will reach Plymouth between 26 June and 29 June. A giant 80 feet maxi yacht will be among the ten enormous multi hulls that will stop over in Plymouth.
