An 84-year-old man has died after a house fire in the village of Venton near Sparkwell.
The man's wife was rescued and taken to hospital. Her condition is a yet unknown.
Emergency services attended the fire late on Friday evening in the village near Plympton on Friday night.
The fire is not being treated as suspicious but investigations will continue into the cause....
