Good Afternoon,
I was wondering if it's possible to get an interview or share what I've been up to.
I'm Beth Mitchell, I'm the current reigning Miss Torquay 2024 and I've got a place in the final at Miss Great Britain National Final in October!
I'm so excited to represent our small town in Devon in the final.
The last time Torquay was crowned a Miss was in 2016 with Lexie Carducci, 8 years ago!
With my title I've been supporting and fundraising for multiple different charity's.
For example, I raised money for Bliss a charity for premature and sick babies. I walked 62 miles in the month of May and raised £115 for them.
I have raised money for Cancer Research and took part in Race of Life 5k - Pretty Muddy.
My most favourite fundraiser so far has been for Alex's Wish where I got locked into Shepton Mallet Prison, the world's most haunted prison for 12 hours over night!
Between 8pm - 3.30am with my torch I explored the prison and grounds, learning the history and tales of the prison before I retired to my cell for a little shut eye on the concrete, cold floor and was awoke by the guards for my wakeup call at 6.30am. I also volunteered during Paignton Carnival Procession to help raise funds for Torbay community carnival which will support all current and future local events.
Throughout the year, I will be continuing to fundraise and share awareness for charities and local events. Next, I plan to do a charity skydive in September for Cancer Research and I want to end my year by volunteering on Christmas Day.
Let me know if this is something we can discuss further and in more details.
Regards,
Beth Mitchell
