Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation is the only charity in the UK wholly dedicated to the defeat of lung cancer. We fund lung cancer research, provide support, help people to quit smoking and to give a voice to all those affected by lung cancer through our campaigning. In order to do this week need to raise crucial funds which we do through events, community fundraising across the UK as well as having 16 retail shops based in the Merseyside and Cheshire area.
Are you an outgoing and proactive individual with a good knowledge of your local area? Then you could help us to raise awareness of lung cancer as well as raise vital funds towards fighting the UKs biggest cancer killer. Last year Castle Collectors raised £1772. We want to raise even more and we want you to be part of it.
In this role you would:
Contact local businesses to find new locations for The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation collection cans
Empty collection cans at regular intervals, counting and banking money on our behalf
Be a point of contact for the public to enquire about the charity and the work we do
By taking up this voluntary role you can gain volunteering experience that is vital on your CV.
We are looking for someone who has the confidence to go out into their local community to promote the Foundation and place collection cans in pubs, shops, leisure centres etc. This is a flexible position with no fixed hours or days.
