Blind Scotch Whisky Tasting

Join Azu Spirits at The Dolphin Inn in Kingston for a blind Scotch whisky tasting on Saturday 12th July and  taste your way through six distinct single malts – from the smooth unpeated Auchentoshan to the rich and smoky Ledaig 18.

Led by whisky expert Ellie Gibson and designed as an entertaining social event, test your palate with the blind tasting, and discover the stories, science and history behind the spirits.

Designed as a fun and informative evening exploring the diversity of Scotch whisky, the tasting encourages guests to challenge their senses by identifying each whisky without knowing what’s in the glass. Along the way, guests will explore the science, production methods, and stories behind each of the six malts, gaining insight into what shapes their distinctive flavours.

The evening's line-up includes: Edradour 10, Glenkinchie 12, Ledaig 18, Auchentoshan American Oak, Laphroaig 10, and Lagavulin 16 — a carefully curated mix of beloved classics and lesser-known gems.

Ellie founded Azu Spirits out of a passion for single malt Scotch and a belief that whisky tastings should be both immersive and welcoming. Their signature blind tasting format — complete with numbered sharing bottles, pipettes, wax-sealed reveal envelopes, and flavour cards — offers an interactive, social way to explore premium spirits.

Azu Spirits events are designed to be relaxed, educational, and inclusive — perfect for curious newcomers and seasoned whisky drinkers alike. After tasting each whisky side-by-side, guests will reveal which dram is which and have the opportunity to purchase their favourites to take home.
