Back by popular demand and bigger and better than ever before, The Shops at Dartington’s enchanting Christmas Fair is set to be bursting with festivities to get the whole family into the Christmas spirit. Open between 10.00am – 5.00pm on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th December and with free entry, it’s a perfect family day out.
New to the Christmas Fair this year;
• A fabulous Devon ‘pop-up’ food marquee, showcasing over 20 local suppliers of Christmas foods
• A children’s activity tent where little ones can get creative, on the Saturday there’ll be magic shows and glitter tattoos on the Sunday
• A vintage taxi ‘photo booth’ for all your family photos
With carols and live jazz music to entertain and activities and demonstrations in all of the 14 unique shops, there’s something for everyone! Also new this year, The Shops at Dartington’s ‘12 Deer of Christmas’ offers, with fantastic savings and opportunities to win prizes across their various shops. For those seeking gifts for culinary master chefs, pay a visit to ‘The Kitchen Shop’ where there’ll be demonstrations from TV chef, Mal Harradine. During the weekend bespoke hampers can be made up to your individual requirements and there’ll be glass engraving from Dartington Crystal, offering you that chance to gift someone a one-of-a-kind present. Don’t forget a visit to The Christmas Shop, a gold, silver and crystal visual extravaganza.

A group of 14 shops and cafes, located in a beautiful rural setting in a range of what were once farm buildings, The Shops at Dartington is owned by the Dartington Hall Trust an independent charitable organisation, trading ethically and sustainably as a social enterprise in order to help support the Trust’s activities in social justice, sustainability and the arts.
With a unique selection of shops to explore, hours can be spent looking at the exquisite craft and pottery collections, stylish women’s and men’s accessories, homeware, unusual gifts and furnishings as well as ‘The Food Shop’ which stocks 60 per cent of produce from Devon and 87 per cent from the Westcountry and ‘Devon Drinks’ which specialises in alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks from the county. There’s also two on-site cafés, The Venus Company and new to The Shops, Bayards Kitchen, which both serve delicious, fresh locally sourced dishes.
