St George's Day Plymouth 2013

From 10am on Saturday 20th April - St George's Day -  a large family focused free party is planned which includes a full entertainment programme throughout the day, ranging from live music to fun competitions plus loads more.

The Plymouth Morris Men will be performing in the Piazza alongside the City of Plymouth Pipe Band. A number of local bands and singers will be on stage under the big screen to keep the crowds entertained, including star of Britain's Got Talent, Michael Collings.

There will be children's activities, a beer stall, hog roast and food. There will also be fancy dress competitions for children and adults, including best dressed knight and great British icons.

The event will raise funds for the Lord Mayor's charity, the Plymouth and District Branch of Parkinson's UK. It will be hosted by the Deputy Lord Mayor, Councillor Chaz Singh.
