Teign Valley pub to host their first specialist cocktail event

Dartmoor-based spirits tasting specialist, Azu Spirits, and the Cridford Inn in the Teign Valley, Devon’s oldest pub, are collaborating to launch their first cocktail tasting evening.

The Azu Spirits event will delve into the mastery of mixology, providing insights into the techniques and histories of a select range of cocktails, inspired by founder Ellie Gibson’s time working in premium cocktail bars in Melbourne, Australia.

In the first Cocktail Tasting Evening on Saturday 27 July, eight unique cocktails will be on offer. From the flaming Black Blazer cocktail to refreshing gin Southside and a tasty twist on the traditional Cosmo with Edmond Briottet’s cranberry liqueur and Pierre Ferrand’s Dry Curacao, the event promises to be an evening of extraordinary flavour. 

A special food menu and nibbles will also be available, with eight tasters included.

The evening will feature a special Martini blind taste test, with guests invited to guess whether they are shaken or stirred.

The tasting is £28 per person and starts at 5pm on Saturday 27 July.
