The South West Academy Spring Exhibition
This year’s collection of work is inspired by the hope of Spring with lots of beautiful landscapes hinting at the brighter and warmer days to come.
The Academicians taking part in this year’s Spring Exhibition are: Alan Cotton MBE, John Hurford, Ken Cosgrove, Jo Dixon, Judith Cummings, Adrian Parnell and Adrian Edwards, winner of the Brownston Gallery Award.
The Brownston Gallery is celebrating their 10th anniversary and Catherine Gillen, Director of the gallery says, “This will be our seventh year of showcasing work by selected members of The South West Academy, the leading regional association for professional artists – including two shows in Lockdown, which we think is quite an achievement!
"Throughout our collaboration with The Academy we have enjoyed meeting new artists and having the opportunity to introduce them and their work to a wider audience, in particular our own enthusiastic and well-informed followers.
"We know this is a formula which works well both for us and the Academicians and we look forward to continuing this valuable partnership for years to come.”
The Chair of The South West Academy, Phil Creek is delighted with the exhibition, “Once again, the South West Academy is delighted to be working with The Brownston Gallery in their Spring Exhibition.
"Each year this Exhibition features the work of a group of Academicians selected by Brownston, some are new members and others are more established artists.
"The Academy welcomes such partnerships with prominent regional galleries which allows us to reach a different audience, to spread the message of The Academy and promote and support our member practitioners in their various arts disciplines."
The gallery is open Tuesday - Saturday from 10am - 5pm. To contact the gallery you can either email art@brownstonart.com or telephone 01548 831338
