Nature's Inventions
Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery will host a five day event with the Sir Alister Hardy Foundation for Ocean Science, Plymouth University and Plymouth Marine Laboratory. Nature’s Inventions is an interactive event which will promote learning and stimulate an interest in science and nature. There will be plenty to do, see and learn plus a competition to win a prize.
Come along to our FREE event and learn about how we have mimicked nature’s inventions in our technology and discoveries. Discover how flying birds and insects inspired aeroplanes. See how deep sea marine animals gave us anti-freeze, and how phytoplankton have inspired building designs. Discovery how shark skin is helping us design new swimsuits. So come along and join in the fun!
