Accountancy firm announces Plymouth charity partner

The Plymouth office of Bishop Fleming, a leading audit, accounting, tax, and advisory firm, is pleased to announce its partnership with St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth as its chosen charity for the next 12 months.

St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth is an independent charity providing specialist advice and support to people with progressive life-limiting illnesses in Plymouth, South West Devon, and East Cornwall.

The partnership with St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth will help Bishop Fleming and its employees to engage in meaningful community activities and contribute to a cause that aligns with its ambition and values.

This year, Bishop Fleming, has launched a major new responsible business initiative – 1% for Communities – a pledge to give back 1% of its turnover through impactful, community-focused volunteering, fundraising and related activities.

Bishop Fleming's decision to support St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth reflects its commitment to being a responsible business and making a positive impact in the local community. In collaboration with Business in the Community, Bishop Fleming has developed a structured framework that helps the firm better understand its role and responsibilities in the community. This effort has resulted in its latest re-accreditation of being a Great Place to Work®.

During the partnership with St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth, Bishop Fleming plans to raise £12,500 through joint fundraising activities over the next 12 months. These initiatives will include taking part in St Lukes organised events including their ‘Tour de Moor’, Coffee Mornings and ‘Men’s Day Out’, not forgetting the annual flagship fundraising event, the Bishop Fleming Plymouth Charity Quiz. The funds raised will directly support the charity’s efforts to provide support and specialist care for people affected by life-limiting illnesses.
