Staff and students at Plympton Academy have been collecting chocolate
Easter Eggs for charity.
All the 77 eggs have been donated to The Salvation Army.
Major Andrew Richards, from the charity, visited the school to collect
the Easter eggs and talk to students about his work.
“We are grateful to receive this wonderful donation of chocolate
eggs,” said Major Richards. “These will ensure that the children of
families we help over the next few weeks will have a little extra
seasonal cheer.”
Plympton Academy student, Isaac Smith, aged 13, said; “It was really
nice to meet Major Richards and to be able to help the work of the
Salvation Army.”
Teacher Martin Edmonds added; “The Salvation Army do marvellous work
in our community and provide real support to some of the most
vulnerable people in society. Easter is a good time to reflect on how
we can all help to make the world a better place and our staff and
students are always very generous in supporting others."
