Vue Plymouth channels the Force with The Plymouth Fencing Club and train local Jedi
Celebrating the success of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Vue Plymouth teamed up with The Plymouth Fencing Club to give film lovers an exhibition on how to properly handle a lightsabre. Setting up at Vue Plymouth on Saturday, The Plymouth Fencing Club gave visitors a taste of how a true lightsabre battle might go down over the course of the afternoon, offering onlookers who dared to wield the force the chance to learn one or two expert Jedi moves.
In the final chapter of the greatest Jedi story in the galaxy, Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac and John Boyega line up against Adam Driver, as the stars of J. J. Abrams’ crescendo in the battle of good versus evil, marking the climax of the ancient conflict between the Jedi and the Sith. Concluding the Skywalker saga, Rey’s journey continues as the surviving members of the Resistance face off against Kylo Ren and the First Order once and for all.
Vue Plymouth General Manager, James Ashcroft said, “We were really excited to welcome Plymouth Fencing Club to the site at the weekend. Film lovers of all ages watched and learned how to battle like Rey and Kylo Ren. The activity really made the experience of watching the film come to life and feel fully immersive.
“Film goers were then able to go and get lost in the final chapter of the Star Wars story within the comfort of our brand new luxury recliner seats, and enjoy the film with the ultimate seat, screen and sound.”
