Record ticket sales for opening day of Sidmouth Summer Play Festival.

Opening day box office sales were at a record high, eclipsing the previous record by over 30%.

It is encouraging to see ticket sales doing so well, with year on year growth. Audiences near and far clearly have an appetite for live performance at the theatre.

The Manor Pavilion Theatre, Sidmouth, hosts the longest running Repertory Theatre season in the UK. Paul Smith, who is writing a book about the history of The Rep, points out that the Summer Play Festival is something quite unique in Theatre History and must be celebrated.
