Children will get the chance to make some special treats for their dads at the City Museum and Art Gallery this weekend.

Staff are running two 'Fantastic Fathers' craft sessions from 11am to midday and from 1.30pm to 2.30pm on Saturday 7 June.

Children will be able to make handmade gifts and keepsakes to give to their dads on Father's Day on Sunday 15 June. Activities will include making cards, decorating crowns and creating paper trophies.

Entry is free but advance booking is advised. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

The sessions are part of the Museum and Art Gallery's 'Make and Take' programme – fun seasonal craft activities that run throughout the year.

Later sessions this year will include Halloween and Christmas. The programme also usually marks Mother's Day, Easter and the Chinese New Year.
