Keep Moisturised and Protected This Sun Awareness Week
The sun has started to make a bit of an appearance here in Devon lately, and it couldn't have come at a better time. This week is Sun Awareness week, in which the public are asked to be aware of the sun and the damage it can potentially do to their skin.
Handmade cosmetics company Lush have come to the rescue with their British Nanny facial moisturiser containing SPF30.
As well as protecting from the sun, the moisturiser can be used as an everyday cream even under makeup.
The moisturiser, containing ingredients such as brunello lily flowers, bee pollen, and fresh apple juice, can be purchased for £26.95 at your nearest Lush store.
For those who would like some advice on how to enjoy the sun without damaging the skin, help is also at hand.
A Skin Cancer Nurse Specialist, from the Skin Cancer Team at Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust, will be available in the main reception of Derriford Hospital on Wednesday 7 May between 10am and 2pm.
This year's Sun Awareness Week is sponsored by Laboratoires Bioderma, the French dermocosmetic brand. More information about Sun Awareness week can be obtained through visiting the British Association of Dermotologists' website.
