Sister Jane runs seventh half marathon for Hospital Radio

Sister Jane Gilliam, who works within the Immunology and Allergy Speciality team at Derriford Hospital, is running her seventh Plymouth Half Marathon on Sunday 19th April, in aid of Hospital Radio Plymouth.
Previously, Jane has raised money for her son’s primary school, Bickleigh Down, the Eden Unit at Derriford Hospital, where she is based and the Primary Immunodeficiency Association.

Jane said: “This year, I chose to run the Plymouth Half Marathon in aid of Hospital Radio Plymouth. The charity is run completely by volunteers, my husband being one of them and every year they need £7,500 to keep it going.

“I believe that this charity is extremely important, as it provides entertainment, comfort and pleasure to many patients who have to stay in Derriford Hospital, The Royal Eye Infirmary and the wider community.

This year, my target is £500.00 and I have sponsor forms and have also set up a BT donation website.”
