Help on hand to kickstart the battle of the Christmas bulge at Drake Circus
Health experts and fitness gurus will be on hand this week (January 23-26) to help the people of Plymouth get over the excesses of Christmas.
With everyone over-indulging on festive treats the battle of the yuletide bulge has begun with thousands of people throughout the South West vowing to get fit in the New Year.

The week of wellness includes everything from on the spot blood pressure tests, soft ball competitions, exercise bikes, rowing machines and even free dental advice.
Centre Director Greg Lumley said “This is a wonderful opportunity for visitors to get some great advice and take part in some brilliant activities to improve body and mind for 2017 – and all while they shop. Greg Continues “We have some great events lined up that will help us all kickstart our New Year’s resolutions.
On the opening day visitors to Drake Circus will have the opportunity to shoot hoops with the Plymouth Raiders and their Mascot in the hope of winning a prize.
Meanwhile, Nuffield Health will have their exercise bikes and rowing machines on hand to help burn off those excess calories gained over the Christmas period.
