£300,000 on Devon park's new fun zone? That's child's play!
Top Devon park Beverley Holidays has splashed £300k on a new seaside-themed play park designed to provide lashings of fun and fitness for youngsters.
Opened this Easter, the Paignton holiday park says its new Land Ahoy Adventure Island and mini-golf course has proved a big hit with smaller guests.
On offer are a selection of playful challenges for all ages which will help children develop a range of physical and mental skills as the calories burn away.
Included are swings, slides, climbing nets and a golf game – all in a seaside setting which includes a lighthouse and giant Beverley deckchairs waiting to be sat on.
And as an added bonus, says Beverley Holidays director Claire Flower, it's all being enjoyed in the fresh open air with iPads and other devices safely tucked away:
"Holidays are all about creating memorable experiences that stay with you forever," said Claire whose family has owned Beverley Holidays for almost 65 years.
"There's absolutely no doubt that letting your hair down and enjoying the company of other youngsters in a safe environment has a massive part to play.
"That's why we have always put a big emphasis on giving children a great time, be it joining our organised park activities or having fun in the pools.
"Our new play zone was a big investment, but we're delighted with the results – and happy that it also gives parents the chance to enjoy a well-earned breather!" said Claire.
Set in the heart of the English Riviera, Beverley Holidays offers boutique holiday caravans, luxury lodges with spa pools, camping and touring pitches, and a wealth of facilities.
As well as a host of quality awards from national and regional bodies, Beverley also boasts the prestigious David Bellamy Conservation Award for its many wildlife initiatives.
