Care home to celebrate 21 years of care with family fun day
Live music and a sizzling barbecue will welcome visitors to a Seaton care home’s 21st anniversary celebrations.
The Seaton is hosting the family fun day to mark more than two decades since they joined the Southern Healthcare Group, who own four award-winning care homes across Devon.
Care home residents and employees will be celebrating the milestone with food, entertainment, fun and games, and charity stalls.
The care home’s administration manager, Kelly Boweren said: “Over the past two decades, our home has continued to grow and thrive. We are proud to be rated Outstanding, and we’ve earned some of the highest accolades for our care through Meaningful Care Matters and The Eden Alternative.”
Southern Healthcare has been named Care Employer of the Year twice and their leadership team has also been recognised for excellence with The Seaton’s care home manager Emma Seal and the group’s director of nursing receiving the prestigious title of Queen’s Nurse.
Kelly added: “Over the years, we’ve supported many team members in progressing to nursing careers, and today, over 75 per cent of our carers hold formal qualifications in care. The dedication of our team is reflected in the warm, homely atmosphere we are so proud to offer – and which our residents, families, and visitors consistently comment on.”
Family and friends of The Seaton, and members of the public are invited to the event on Wednesday June 4 from 12.30pm onwards.
