Crealy announces plans to recruit over 150 employees across Devon & Cornwall
Crealy Great Adventure Park is thrilled to announce its annual recruitment campaign. Over 150 positions will be available across Devon and Cornwall’s Crealy Great Adventure Park for the 2014 season. The dedicated Recruitment Weekends will take place on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 March in Devon and Friday 21 and Saturday 22 March in Cornwall. Positions will be available in a variety of departments including, Rides & Attractions, Zoo & Animals, Food & Beverage, Entertainment, On-park Services and Crealy Meadows Caravan & Camping Park.
Josh Haywood, General Manager for Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park said: “Our annual Recruitment Weekend has been running for several years now and we find this the most efficient way to employ large numbers of seasonal team. We are fortunate enough to be able to offer flexible working in a fun environment for people of all ages and backgrounds, and look forward to welcoming new individuals to the Crealy team. They will start working with us at such an exciting time as we have made a significant investment of £1 million into Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park with 5 new rides and attractions.”
Sasha Griffin and Calum Main are just two of Crealy’s success stories following the annual recruitment drive. Sasha is an Animal Realm Assistant, she is responsible for the ‘Own a Pony’ sessions at Crealy Meadows Caravan & Camping Park, which offers a fun but realistic understanding of the duties and responsibilities involved in owning a pony. Sasha said: “I applied for this role at the Recruitment Weekend last year as I wanted to work with animals and specifically horses. The role was perfect as it provided me with the flexibility I needed to work around my busy family life. I love my job, the animals, the guests and the whole team and I hope to work with Crealy for a long time to come.”
Calum Main joined the family run Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park three years ago at the age of 15 when he had a work experience placement. Having loved his experience he later secured the role of a Retail Assistant and has since worked as part of the Guest Services teams and front of house in Reception. Callum said: “I chose Crealy as my work experience destination as I could see the family business had a warm, welcoming feel. The most enjoyable aspect of my job is providing guests with a magical experience and memories that will last a lifetime. In five years’ time I would like to take the knowledge and experience gained onto to future employment in the tourism industry.”
The Recruitment Weekends will take place on Friday 14 March from 3pm–7pm and Saturday 15 March from 10am-5pm at Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park and respectively at Cornwall’s Crealy Great Adventure Park on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 March.
