Man on roof arrested by police

Police have arrested a man who was found on the roof of a house in the Chaddlewood area of Plympton this morning (Saturday 4 May).

Police attended after the scene after receiving reports of disorder in the early hours of this morning.  They found a 21-year-old male on the roof of the property. The man began throwing items at attending officers.   Specialist teams from all emergency services were called to the scene and after a period of negotiation the man left the roof, exited the premises and was arrested.

The man remains in police custody at Crownhill, Plymouth where he will be questioned during the day.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who have not previously spoken to officers to call 101 and quote incident number 146 04/05/13.
