GO Outdoors store to open in Barnstaple

The new store will be officially opened at 9am on Saturday 16th August, and the first 200 customers through the doors will receive a complimentary goody bag. One goody bag will contain a golden ticket, redeemable for a £1,000 tent bundle, while two goody bags will include silver tickets, exchangeable for a £100 gift card. Celebrations will continue throughout the day, with live giveaways and entertainment including a DJ and balloon modeller for the whole family to enjoy.

Spanning over 13,000 square feet, the new store will offer free customer parking and will stock a wide selection of top outdoor brands, including Rab, OEX and Berghaus, alongside trusted names such as Peter Storm, Hi-Gear and North Ridge.

Inside the store you’ll find a host of camping equipment with pitched tents, a watersports range, sea fishing essentials, a large selection of footwear and apparel, and much more covering a huge variety of outdoor pursuits.

25 local team members have been recruited to help support the store’s operations.

Interim Store Manager, Arran Johsnon, comments: “We are so excited to be opening the doors of our new GO Outdoors store, and to bring the best in outdoor equipment and apparel to the people of Barnstaple.

“Our team here are all outdoor enthusiasts who take pleasure in helping inspire and equip others for whatever adventure they’re gearing up for. From dog walkers to festival goers and mountaineers, everyone is welcome - and there is something for everyone! 

“I can’t wait to celebrate on August 16th, and we hope to see the local outdoor community come out in force for a fun-filled day.”
