Reduced service for Torpoint Ferry
One of the three Torpoint ferries, 'Plym II' will be taken out of service for a month with effect from Friday 13 September 2013 at 9.30am in preparation for its triennial refit at A&P Falmouth.
The ferry company says the refit is a key part of the planned maintenance programme for the vessel, and allows essential work to be undertaken in dry dock conditions.
This will result in a reduced two-ferry service every 15 minutes for the regular working day service and at weekends, from 06.30 until 21.30. The normal single ferry service will operate overnight.
The travelling public are advised to take the reduction in service into account when planning journeys.
The refit is anticipated to take approximately 30 days, and any the Tamar Crossings company says any inconvenience caused during this period is much regretted.
