Devils lose in final third
Plymouth 42 Glasgow 47
PLYMOUTH team manager Lee Trigger admitted his side had too many riders out of form in their 47-42 Premier League defeat by Glasgow at the St Boniface Arena on Friday.
He said: "We know they can all do it when they are on top form, but we had four riders who were not on song and you can’t carry four riders."
There was a bonus for the Skills Group Devils with Morten Risager dropping only one point from five rides but it was not enough to prevent Plymouth from slipping to their second home league defeat.
Glasgow outgunned Plymouth at reserve with Victor Palovaara and James Sarjeant scoring seven points each while the home pair of Sam Simota and Roland Benko managed only five between them.
Trigger added: "It was frustrating to suffer another home defeat and we must try to make sure we do not lose at home again this season."
Plymouth: Kyle Newman 5 (4 rides), Morten Risager 13+1 (5), Todd Kurtz 5+1 (4), Jack Holder 6 (4), Ryan Fisher 8+1 (5). Reserves: Roland Benko 1 (3), Sam Simota 4+1 (5).
Glasgow: Nick Morris 7+1 (4), Kozza Smith 5+2 (4), Dimitri Berge 3 (3), Richard Lawson 11+1 (5), Aaron Summers 7 (5). Reserves: Victor Palovaara 7+1 (4), James Sarjeant 7+2 (5).
