Premier League KO Cup Semi-Final – 2nd Leg Preview
Plymouth will aim to put on a show for their supporters when they face Ipswich in the deciding leg of the Knock-Out Cup semi-final at the St Boniface Arena on Friday evening (7.15pm), writes Graham Hambly.
The Skills Group Devils face a 40-point deficit after losing 65-25 in the first leg at Ipswich a fortnight ago and team manager Lee Trigger admits: "We know it will be a hard task against Ipswich.
"But we will be going for every point and put in a good home performance for our supporters. Ipswich will come down here thinking the tie has already been won, but we have to take each race as it comes and get as many points as we can."
Kyle Newman put up spirited performance in the Premier League Riders’ Championship at Sheffield on Sunday when he was replacing Plymouth’s injured skipper Ben Barker.
Newman finished eighth in the qualifying rounds, scoring seven points and missed out by three points on reaching the meeting semi-final.
