Four Plymouth building projects shortlisted in the 2019 Michelmores Property Awards

Four of Plymouth's recent property projects have been shortlisted in the 2019 Michelmores Property Awards. The annual awards celebrate exceptional property and construction projects located in Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Bristol and Cornwall, across ten categories.

Oceansgate Phase1 in Plymouth, has been shortlisted in the Project of the Year (over £5m) category. Balfour Beatty and Plymouth City Council have come together to create Endeavour House, a new office and industrial space. The project aims to support a community of like-minded businesses, and has links to innovators and academic research organisations.

In the Education Project of the Year category, Scott Medical & Healthcare College in Plymouth, has been shortlisted. The studio college provides 18 specialist classrooms, break-out spaces, a gym, and also a multifunctional atrium. This project aims to support young people aged 13-19, looking to work in medicine, nursing, health sciences and social care.

Sherford in Plymouth, has been shortlisted in the 'Residential Project of the Year (36 Units and over)' category. This project will consist of 5,500 homes, with three distinct neighbourhoods, including four schools, community facilities, and a 500-acre community park.

In the 'Residential Project of the Year (35 Units and under)' category, Lakeside in Plymouth has also been shortlisted. Formerly a residential care home, the site has now been transformed into high-quality, affordable, rented units and shared ownership homes, which are being let and sold to local people.

The winners of each category will be announced at an Awards Dinner on Thursday 13 June 2019 at Sandy Park Conference Centre, Exeter.
