NOVEMBER 2024 // Michael Caines and the team at Lympstone Manorare delighted to announce they have received the Gold Award for Small Hotel of the Year at the 2024/2025 Devon Tourism Awards.

The regional accolade celebrates hotels that deliver an exceptional welcome, unforgettable guest experiences and the highest standards across every aspect of their operation. Lympstone Manor, situated on the picturesque banks of the Exe Estuary in East Devon, has been recognised to exemplify these qualities.

The award follows the recent recognition from The Telegraph, which crowned Devon as England’s top county and described Lympstone Manor as “one of Britain’s most exciting country house hotels.”

Lympstone Manor, the acclaimed luxury country house hotel on the banks of the Exe Estuary in East Devon, is Michael Caines’ flagship hotel and forms part of the Michael Caines Collection. A member of Relais & Chateaux, 21 luxurious rooms and suites, 6 Shepherd Huts, Two Keys in the newly launched Michelin Hotel Awards, a Michelin star and 5 AA Rosette restaurant, with a casual dining restaurant alongside an outdoor swimming pool, tennis court and an 11-acre Vineyard with award winning estate wines.

Chef Patron Michael Caines MBE commented: “It’s always nice to see Lympstone Manor Hotel and Vineyard be recognised in so many awards of late and winning Gold at last night’s Devon Tourism awards for Small Hotel of the Year, is wonderful. It’s recognition for all the hard work that the team have put in day in, day out and gives us a lift, when times have been challenging for all.

Devon being crowned as England’s top county in The Telegraph is something that we should all be proud to see, and the hotel listed as “The ultimate hotel” is of course another acknowledgment of the progress we have made in such a short time”.
