Football League double nomination for Argyle
Plymouth Argyle have received news of a double nomination from the Football League in their manager and player of the month award categories.
Manager John Sheridan has been nominated for Manager of the Month for March and the on-loan forward and top scorer Jason Banton has been nominated for Player of the Month in the nPower League Two awards.
With just one defeat in the month of March, Sheridan's side climbed out of the relegation zone and while they still have a fight on their hands for Football League survival, their good form and increased confidence bodes well.
Banton's consistent goal scoring has been a crucial factor in Argyle's recent upturn. He is named alongside Steve Elliot of Cheltenham Town and former Plymouth player Lee Molyneux, now of Accrington Stanley.
Sheridan will be in competition with Neil Ardley, boss of AFC Wimbledon and Bristol Rovers' John Ward.
The winners will be announced on Friday 12th April.
