Care home opens its doors for garden party celebration

The Retreat Care Home in Plymstock is opening its doors on Saturday 27 July and inviting the local community to come and join them for their annual Garden Party.

Tying in with resident Win Bartlett’s 107th birthday, which takes place on Tuesday 30 July, the garden party will be a day of celebration with music by local band Poslips, a number of different stalls, a raffle and a bird display from a local owl keeper, as well as hot food and a traditional cream tea.

Leanne Gale, Manager of The Retreat, which is owned by Sunshine Care commented:
“Our annual garden party is always something that our residents look forward to and it’s a great opportunity for the local community to come and enjoy our beautiful garden, as well as being able to wish Win a very happy birthday.  Fingers crossed for some sunshine!”

The Retreat’s Garden Party takes place on Saturday 27 July from 2pm onwards at The Retreat Care Home, Belle Vue Road, Hooe, Plymstock, PL9 9NR.
