A fisherman who became stranded on rocks at Bovisand Beach near Plymouth on Sunday afternoon, has been airlifted to safety.
The RAF helicopter from RMB Chivenor was deployed after the Plymouth lifeboat, which was launched at about 2.15pm, was unable to reach the man due to a strong sea swell.
A coastguard team assisted with the rescue, ensuring the man's safety.
