The Shops at Dartington May Food Fair Hailed a Success

More than 7,000 people enjoyed a first-rate day out with glorious sunshine at The Shops at Dartington’s free May Food Fair on 27-28 May. The best of Devon’s food and drink scene came together, from vibrant street-food markets to artisan producers, with top chefs demonstrating recipes and offering tricks of the trade.

Grand donation for expanding community hub

A successful community hub has been handed a £1,000 donation to help it expand and open up its services to even more people.

St Jude’s Community Hub, based in Beaumont Road, Plymouth has been awarded the donation from Persimmon Homes Cornwall’s Community Champions fund, which sees two regional worthy causes awarded up to £1,000 each month.

A local business is boosting the cause of conservation by doing what it does best – selling great beer. Bays Brewery has launched a special beer – Trunk Ale - on behalf of wildlife charity Paignton Zoo Environmental Park.
