A team from Ottery once again pulled out the stops to erect a stunning Christmas tree just outside the library, bringing the spirit of Christmas to the town.

Hospiscare have launched their annual Christmas Tree Recycling scheme to support end-of-life care across the heart of Devon.

On Thursday 11, Friday 12 and Saturday 13 January 2024, Hospiscare and a team of volunteers will be heading out in full force to collect and recycle Christmas trees in return for a donation to the local charity.

Ottery St Mary Christmas tree is tallest yet!

A hardworking bunch from Ottery and Otter Garden Centres came together to put up this year’s Christmas tree.

It’s the tallest yet, standing at around 19 feet. The tree was grown on the garden centre’s Christmas tree plantation in East Devon and is a particularly lovely specimen.

This year the Town Council ordered new decorations, which were supplied by Otter’s Christmas shop....

Ottery’s Otter Garden Centres are proud to have grown the Christmas tree for the town once again, and this year it’s a whopper!

The 15ft Picea Abies is grown by Otter locally and this one was selected not just for its height but also for its full shape for the location.
