Queen of crime Ann Cleeves will be hosted by The Bookery in Crediton Town Square on Wednesday September 1st at 6.30pm for the Devon launch of her new book, The Heron’s Cry.

This is the second book in the North Devon based Two Rivers series. The first, The Long Call, was a Sunday Times bestseller and described by the Daily Express as “a triumph that cements Cleeves’ status as one of Britain’s best crime writers” and is set to be developed into a major TV series for ITV.

Devon Created is a new and exciting festival organised by a new flower festival team at Crediton Parish Church. For over 40 years there has been a flower festival at the church. This year this exciting new venture will include local Devon crafts, each demonstrating and selling their own crafts, and including spectacular flower arrangements using flowers and materials to complement each craft. Rt Revd Nick McKinnel to be next Bishop of Plymouth

The next Bishop of Plymouth is to be the Rt Revd Nick McKinnel .
