Imagine a fantasy jukebox that contained all the most influential, innovative, adventurous and just plain great music since the dawn of the recording era. OK, so the likes of iTunes, YouTube and Spotify have made this more of a reality than a fantasy, but setting aside their rather indiscriminating presence, what should it include?
Veteran folk-rockers Fairport Convention celebrate 45 years on the road with special guests Tarras, 6-piece folk-rock band from the North of England, John 'Fake Thackray' Watterson, keeping alive the repertoire of comic songs by the late, great Jake Thackray, brilliant ragtime and jazz guitarist John James and the ever-colourful Exmouth Shanty Men.
Gates open 1pm. Music from 2pm until midnight. Showcase performances by the best of local talent 2pm - 3.30pm. Main concert starts at 4.30pm.
All-day bar PLUS rolling hog roast, barbecue, paella and tapas bar.
