Police investigating six burglaries in Plymouth and South Devon believe the crimes could be linked.
Officers are appealing for any witnesses to come forward after entry was forced into individual properties in Kingsteignton, Tavistock, Chudleigh and Paignton, as well as into two properties in Plymouth, between Friday 29 April and Wednesday 11 May.
Plymouth has been ranked fifth in a study to find the most secure areas across the UK.
This position is thanks to the area's low burglary rate coupled with a high ‘security awareness’ score, ensuring the city’s position in the UK’s top five.
