Budding local gardeners and families are being invited to help prepare for spring at a new community garden in North Prospect.
An army of volunteers is needed to join Plymouth City Council teams at The Beacon, Foliot Road, this Saturday to plant hundreds of daffodil bulbs and strawberry plants in the flower beds around the building.
Come along and talk to the experts for all those handy hints and tips.
Bring your favourite tubs and baskets along and we will have all the plants, compost etc to purchase on site at a reduced rate. There will be a demonstration by our gardening expert, followed by tea and coffee before you get your hands dirty and create your own masterpiece.
Starts at 10.30am until 12pm and costs £5 per person.
