Gordon Dalton is an artist, writer and curator. He is Project Manager for Art Across The City, Swansea, commissioning public at projects. He also runs Mermaid & Monster, curating and writing about art. He has curated and managed projects for artists including Olaf Breuning, Joanne Tatham & Tom O'Sullivan, Merlin James, Richard Deacon, David Blandy, Marjetica Potrc, Yelena Popova, Peter Liversidge, Jacob Dahlgren, Juneau Projects and Helen Sear.

Fireworks and Bright Sparks: Igniting Creativity

Plymouth Play Association, alongside Plymouth Arts Centre, invite you and your little sparks, to come and ignite your creativity with a fireworks themed workshop. Artist and learning specialists support these open-ended activities for children under 6. Don’t forget to dress for mess. Come along to Plymouth Arts Centre on Tuesday 12 November from 1-2.30 to have the chance to make some exciting bonfire night inspired art!

Plymouth Arts Centre holds fireworks themed workshop for little sparks

A free fireworks-themed workshop to ignite children’s creativity following Bonfire Night is being held next week.

The event next Tuesday at Plymouth Arts Centre, run in conjunction with Plymouth Play Association, is for under 6 year olds. Artists and learning specialists will help children ignite their creativity.

Luke Fowler is an artist who works with film, sound, installation and photography.

This new film focuses on the work of Marxist historian Edward Palmer Thompson who, at the age of 25, was employed by the WEA (Workers’ Educational Association) in Yorkshire. For PLATFORM, Hand in Glove visit degree shows across the region, to seek out the work of compelling new artists, which they feel could benefit from being re-presented in new surroundings and with additional support.
